To mark the turn of the season, in Waldorf education, there is always a celebration! Autumn wind is blowing, leaves are turning, and everyone spirits seem lifted and renewed. Where I live, the summers are harsh and very tropical feeling. Autumn is slower to reach where I live and is often short-lived. So in this special time, I decided to create a "Waldorf Autumn Lantern" to light the turn of the season. I did find many ideas on Pintrest, but none that actually spoke to me. I was looking for a very subdued and peaceful lantern with a fairly easy project and time limit. However, this somehow took me about two hours to complete. I knew I did not want to spend money. So, I started to check the supplies I already have. One thing I have to recommend for any Waldorf family or school is invest in plenty of wax paper! This pad has made so many Waldorf stars over the past year. And of course Santa brought this to one to our door last year. After this project, we may need to order more! I purchased mine from Bella Luna Toys. So please watch my video, check out my pictures, and feel free to Pintrest it! Happy Autumn Season!
